Need to get working online in a hurry? These are the resources I use and recommend.
I’m making this list available to help people find alternative ways of working and keeping their business going during the Covid 19 outbreak. If you’ve not done online work before don’t be afraid of it. It’s a lot easier and more flexible than you think. Get in touch with me if you need any guidance.
I provide these recommendations because I personally use and like these products. There is nothing here that I don’t use. A few of the links below are affiliate links. That simply means that if you click through and decide to purchase something I recommend, I get a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Online Appointments and Meetings

The free version offers unlimited one to one meetings. Group meetings up to 40 minutes. Records locally to PC. The pro version allows you to record to the cloud and meeting duration limit of 24 hours.

The paid version allows you to take payments from clients using Stripe and PayPal accounts. You can also set up intake forms and follow up email sequence of three emails. Lowest starting price $15 per month.
Active Campaign is what I use for my customer database, email marketing and automation. It’s very afffordable and really simple to learn. This is a core piece in the running of my business. I would struggle without it.
Create an Online Course
Teachable This is the one I use. It’s easy to use and has all the features you need. Don’t waste too much time worrying about which platform to use.
Camtasia I use this and love it. So easy and fast to use on PC or a Mac. You can use it to record and edit. You get a very professional end product with camtasia. Ideal if you plan to publish online courses.
Logitech 920 Webcam This is the webcam I use for all my work. Really good quality for the price. Doubles as a mic too. Which is okay but if you were to do a lot of work online I would suggest a separate mic.
Say it once Sell it often interactive guide This guide by Johnny Beirne is perfect if you want to put an online course together. As it’s interactive you can ask Johnny questions as you work through each lesson. Well worth doing.

I use both PayPal and Stripe for processing payments.
- PayPal: PayPal has become pretty much mainstream and most people feel comfortable with the system. It’s secure, easy to set up, integrates with almost every online tool and platform, and is accepted in many countries. Costs more than Stripe but you have immediate access to your funds.
- Stripe: This has fewer additional fees than PayPal. It is extremely secure and is available in multiple countries. It has no set-up costs and customers can pay you using any major credit card. Stripe easily integrates into all major eCommerce platforms as well as WordPress and SquareSpace. It can take three days or more to have funds transfered to your bank account.
Profit First by Mike Michalowicz This is a brilliant book. I use the Profit First Method in my business. The exercise of doing the assessment of your accounts is hard hitting at times. We like to think our accounts are in okay condition but there is no where to hide with this method. Seriously think about doing this method, it will help you get out and stay out of debt.
A New Earth – Awakening to your life’s purpose by Eckart Tolle This is so simple but mind blowing. If you need to figure out what’s going on in your head right now, you need this book.
